General
This letter will show your pal what you do during the day. You must
keep a diary in which you write down exactly what you do every half hour.
Do not only give the facts but also include your personal feelings about
the things you do.
Content
You will have to keep a diary for 2 days; a Friday (or another school
day) and a Saturday. Don't forget to react to your pal's previous letter
and to add your own information and possible questions.
Hint
6
Keep a copy of your two-day
diary. When you read it after a while it will bring back a lot of memories.
Remember "time flies when you are having fun".
Build your letter
Copy the times. Fill in the hours between getting up and going to sleep.

Here is an example of what you could write down.
Friday 29-05-1998
07:00 : Got out of bed. I hate getting up early.
Breakfast. I only eat toast in the mornings. I
just had an argument with my brother about his
using the shower too long.
08:00 : I go to school on foot. The weather is nice.
08:30 : English. My favourite subject! I forgot to do my
homework but the teacher didn't check.
Lucky
me!
10:00 : ...
Well, these are two of my “typical days”. I’m
looking forward to reading about what you usually do.
In your last letter you asked me...
Write soon.
Now that you have finished your letter, you can use the same
model applied to some “special days” (a festival, the first/last
day of school, your birthday...) and ask your partner to work on
it as well. It could be interesting to see the differences in
celebrating or spending occasions. You can always add pictures/
drawings to your diary.
